The BG Corporation was founded in New York in approximately 1918 by Charles Brewster and Arthur Goldsmith, hence the name, BG. Presently, BG is one of the major designer and manufacturer of cable assemblies and connecting devices for both reciprocating and turbine gas engines.

The company also manufactures spark plug extensions, primary and secondary ignition cables, turbine ignitor leads, and industrial spark plugs. BG Service Company is currently headquartered at West Palm Beach, Florida, USA.
